The Dalai Lama is coming to Wellington Place

THE Tibetan spiritual leader and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate His Holiness the Dalai Lama will be the keynote speaker at the Yorkshire International Business Convention (YIBC), which is being held at Wellington Place this summer.

The Dalai Lama will speak on the subject of ethics in business.
He is making the YIBC at Wellington Place his first stop on a UK-wide tour. On June 15 the Dalai Lama will deliver a speech as the YIBC begins the Yorkshire Business and Arts Festival (YABF).
Mike Firth, convention chief executive, said: “We have always pulled out all the stops to get the most interesting and engaging speakers possible. With those already signed up this year it could be said there was already a stellar cast, but to be able to announce we have secured the Dalai Lama is honour indeed.”
The Dalai Lama will join retail-guru-turned-government-adviser, Mary Portas, and Sir Richard Branson’s former right-hand man, Will Whitehorn at the event. Also, political heavyweights Michael Portillo and Lord John Prescott will go head-to-head in a debate, while former world record holding athlete and TV commentator Steve Cram will also appear.
